At the AFI group of companies we are raising standards in powered access hire, sales and industry & construction training.
Our business started in 2002 with 270 machines and 3 depots, since then we have grown to where we are today with 22 locations in the UK and offering a range of services.
We hire out machines for working at height
With reach heights from 2m to 53m, we provide scissor lifts, articulated booms, stick booms, push around verticals, mast lifts, truck & track mounts, as well as telehandlers. Our powered access hire business was formed in 1998 and is run via 19 depot locations serving all major UK conurbations. Included within these are 3 depots serving Greater London and 3 depots serving the North West of England. We also have dedicated depots for the South West of England and Wales. We are proud of our extensive fleet of 5,000 machines which allows us to provide, with confidence, services such as 48h delivery on core machines and more recently our 24h delivery promise on our essentials range.
We buy and sell Powered Access
We sell new and used powered access equipment through our dedicated team of experts. In addition we also offer services such as Service Maintenance Agreements to ensure longevity of machines, as well as finance options to fund the purchase. We offer customers the opportunity to sell used equipment from their fleet through our WeBuyAnyAccessPlatform website.
We train over 18,000 people a year
We are a specialist provider of health, safety and skills training for industry, construction and maintenance, as well as NVQs. Since 1996 we have specialised in safety and skills training and have been delivering courses such as Site Safety Plus, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness and New Roads & Street Works. Our training business operates nationally via a network of 20 training centres servicing all major UK cities. We can provide training at one of our sites, or at customer's own premises. Also we have four open course venues in: London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Wakefield. We directly employ our 18 trainers and back office teams locally so that we can ensure consistency from the point of receiving an enquiry through to receiving the certificate.
Available for hire or as an addition to purchasing a machine, our accessory range offers cost effective and robust safety solutions that are simple to operate and easy to install. They aid and protect people who work at height, as well as keeping the Powered Access machines secure too. We also offer Health and Safety advice and consultancy for businesses who work in industry and construction environments. AFI are fully committed to Health and Safety and our business has been built on this philosophy.
As an organisation we believe it is important to conform to best practice and be a responsible member of the communities we operate in. Below are our policy documents which give you more detail about the way we work.
